It's time to face our students~

This day has been an eventful one, marked by both observation and active participation in the teaching process. On October 2, 2023, we embarked on a valuable learning experience as we observed Ibu Nurbi's class. Seated at the back, we had the opportunity to witness her teaching methods and the students' engagement within the classroom. The first thing that I have observed is the overall look of the ir classroom, they are using a projector, and a projection screen. I also couldn't help but notice the remarkable classroom environment, because the classrooms were not only spacious but also exceptionally well-maintained, with large, clean tables and chairs in perfect condition. The presence of air conditioning and frost-tinted windows added to the overall comfort, ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere with minimal distractions. In teaching her class, she explained first her topic which is all about literary genres, then after that she provided a lot of examples of literary pieces under different literary genres.

I observed that she also asked the students questions regarding her discussion to ensure they understood her. What truly stood out during our observation was the students' proficiency in English. Ibu Nurbi's students' has shown a remarkable language skills, as they attentively listened to her instructions and actively participated in the learning process. I also noticed that Ibu Nurbi let the students explore the topic by doing group work activity, wherein they have to report in front of the class the summary of their chosen text or story. Honestly, It was genuinely inspiring to witness how well they could communicate in English well.
